The Dual Resolution Syringe is a unique and stunning invention that substitutes for a conventional 3 cm syringe in a syringe drive to give it much greater range, better precision and accuracy at low volumes, and the ability to deliver contact -free and therefore contamination-free. The extraordinary volume and flow rate range enables multi-channel liquid-handling systems to do things and execute applications that they cannot do with conventional syringes.
The DRS 15/300 model shown (DRD PN 81324-112) has a top plunger with a 1/4-28 thread and adapters to fit directly into a Cavro XP-3000 type syringe drive, giving maximum Differential and Single mode volumes of 15 µL and 300 µL. Not shown is the Hamilton equivalent, the DRS 18/340 or DRS 20/300 (DRD PN 81324-212), whose top plunger is the Luer and flange design that fits directly into a Hamilton PSD/4 type syringe drive, with the slightly different volumes shown.
The engineering specifications most relevant to an OEM customer looking to integrate it are shown in the Concept / Specifications sheets that are brought up by the links to the models referenced above. The BROCHURE / FLYER of one of the models gives a good overview. An excellent user manual is available that contains everything needed to integrate it via command codes or other approaches.
If you wish to enjoy a short movie that dives into a jungle pool with Tarzan and Jane, and thoroughly educates you to the performance of the DRS at the same time, watch our 2.5 minute Impact Movie. There is also a 10 minute BASIC STORY movie that goes into more detail and has a longer jungle swim (and a better shot of the lion) in which the qualities of this extraordinary piece of technology are further anthropomorphized.
