Programmable benchtop liquid handling

DPDD 1000

Pipette. Dilute. Dispense.

A versatile Differential Pipettor™, Diluter™, and Dispenser™ built to handle volumes from 100 nanoliters to 1 milliliter—combining fine low-volume control and higher-flow delivery in one programmable system.

Broad range without compromise

One liquid-handling core for very different jobs.

The DPDD 1000 is designed for workflows that need more than a single fixed-volume behavior. Its programmable platform supports tiny samples, larger liquid movements, dilution, and controlled dispensing without changing the underlying mechanism.

Differential Displacement™ separates the need for fine resolution from the need for strong flow—making it possible to approach small-volume precision and clean release in the same system.

Three operating pathways

Configure the workflow around the liquid—not the instrument.

Use DPDD 1000 as a pipettor, diluter, or dispenser, with programmed movement and a handheld probe for practical benchtop operation.

01Operating mode

Pipettor

Program repeatable aspiration and delivery across micro- and milliliter-scale workflows.

02Operating mode

Diluter

Combine precise sample handling with controlled diluent delivery in one benchtop system.

03Operating mode

Dispenser

Deliver programmed volumes with the flow needed for clean, contact-free release.

Dual-resolution architecture

Fine control when volumes are tiny. Useful flow when they are not.

Two pistons of different diameters can operate together to create a small net displacement or independently to move liquid and air at higher flow. The instrument applies those behaviors across a programmable range.

  • Differential modeSmall effective displacement for low-volume aspiration.
  • High-flow modeContact-free Blastoff delivery and larger liquid movements.
  • Programmable operationRepeatable settings across pipetting, dilution, and dispensing tasks.

A practical benchtop workflow

Program the transfer. Control it from the probe.

The DPDD 1000 combines an instrument display and controls with a handheld probe, tubing, and source reservoir for flexible day-to-day operation.

01

Select the operation

Choose the required pipetting, dilution, or dispensing program and target volume.

02

Aspirate with the appropriate resolution

Use differential piston behavior where small-volume control is the priority.

03

Deliver cleanly

Apply the system’s higher-flow behavior for complete delivery, including contact-free Blastoff operation.

Evidence across the low-volume range

Built on the same mechanism tested from microliters into nanoliters.

DRD’s science collection includes comparisons with conventional pipettors, Artel-based nanoliter studies, aspiration-depth analysis, and contact-free delivery experiments.
